Hiscox appoints new Independent Non Executive Director

Hamilton, Bermuda (22 November 2021) - Hiscox Ltd (LSE:HSX), the international specialist insurer, today announces the appointment of Donna DeMaio as Independent Non Executive Director, subject to regulatory approval.

The Hiscox Audit Committee is currently chaired by Caroline Foulger, who will retire as an Independent Non Executive Director at the Annual General Meeting in 2022 following the conclusion of her nine year term with the company.  Donna will take over as chair of the Audit Committee following Caroline's retirement.

With over 35 years' experience across a broad range of financial services organisations, Donna has a proven track record of growing businesses in challenging markets and complex regulatory environments. She has held a number of senior roles in the insurance industry and in banking, having most recently served as Global Chief Operating Officer for AIG's General Insurance division, and prior to this, as Chair of the Board for both United Guaranty Corporation and MetLife Bank.
