The Board of JPMorgan Global Emerging Markets Income Trust plc ('the Company') is pleased to announce the appointment of Elisabeth Scott as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 3rd May 2022. She will also serve as a member of the Company's Audit & Risk Committee and the Nomination Committee.
Elisabeth has over 35 years' experience in the asset management industry. She was appointed the Chair of the Association of Investment Companies in January 2021 and has extensive knowledge of and experience in the investment companies sector as a fund manager, investor and non-executive director.
Elisabeth began her career as an investment manager with the British Investment Trust and continued to have an involvement with investment companies during her time at Edinburgh Fund Managers, including as fund manager of the American Trust. From 1992 to 2010 Elisabeth worked with Schroders in Hong Kong and London, in a variety of senior roles spanning fund management, institutional client development and business areas. Elisabeth chaired the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association from 2005 to 2007. She is the Chair of India Capital Growth Fund and a non-executive director of Capital Group UK Management Company and of Allianz Technology Trust. Elisabeth has a Sloan Fellowship MSc from the London Business School.

Elisabeth does not currently have any interest in the Company's shares.
