Board changes
In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.13, the Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Heather Manners as an independent non-executive director of the Fund with effect from 5th May 2022. Heather's appointment will be subject to formal shareholder approval at the Fund's forthcoming Annual General Meeting on 8th December 2022.
Heather is an award-winning market professional with some 34 years' experience of investment in Asia, mostly recently, and for the past 15 years as the co-founder, CEO and CIO of Prusik Investment Management. Heather is also a non-executive director of Montanaro Asset Management and Collidr Asset Management respectively and previously was a non-Executive Director of Aberdeen New Dawn. Heather began her career at Henderson Global Investors Limited where, latterly, she was Head of Asia and Emerging Markets.
Also, In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.13, the Board announces that, having served for nine years, Helene Ploix will retire from her position as a non-executive director and chairman of the Fund after the 2022 Annual General Meeting. It is the intention that Heather will replace Helene as chairman of the Fund.
There are no other details to be disclosed under paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
