Shares in specialist mobile cooking oil filtration equipment provider Filta (FLTA:AIM) shot up 75% to 126p after launching a new coronavirus sanitising service to restaurants.
The new service, called FiltaShield will help restaurants and bars open up safely once lock-downs are relaxed. Working with specialist chemical suppliers, the anti-viral solution which has been laboratory tested is effective against all coronaviruses, killing them within minutes.
The solution is applied to a surface by spraying, creating a thin layer which then bonds with the surface and protects for up to 30 days.
TEMPERATURE TESTING
In addition the company has teamed up with a technology supplier to supply and manage temperature screening devices for its customers.
The devices are installed in the entrance to a building and are capable of screening up to 30 people per second to test for a fever.
Filta chief executive Jason Sayers commented, ‘as companies look to open up again after the current lock-down, the safety of employees, visitors and clients will be a key focus.
‘We are proud to have developed this highly effective service in such a short period, and are now helping businesses and organisations make the necessary preparations to get back up and running as quickly as possible.’
