Atrato Onsite Energy PLC on Friday said it invested £29 million in total into two solar projects in England.

The London-based renewable energy investment trust said it bought London Road Energy Centre Ltd, a ready-to-build, 28 megawatt ground-mounted solar project in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, from Heliofidem UK Ltd. Atrato Partners Managing Director Gurpreet Gujral said the London Road project is the company’s largest single asset transaction to date.

Atrato signed heads of agreement and an exclusivity agreement with ‘a large multinational food and beverage company for the sale and purchase of electricity generation from this project via a sleeved power purchase agreement.’

Further, Atrato bought 1 megawatt new rooftop solar project Huntapac Produce Ltd in Preston, Lancashire.

The company expects energisation for both projects in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Atrato Onsite Energy shares fell 1.8% to 84.20 pence each on Friday morning in London.
