Intelligent Ultrasound Group PLC - Cardiff, Wales-based artificial intelligence ultrasound software firm - Says its ScanNav real-time AI technology has been incorporated into a new GE Healthcare Voluson Expert 22 ultrasound machine. GE Healthcare is General Electric Co’s healthcare arm.

Intelligent Ultrasound says the Voluson uses SonoLyst, an AI tool that recognises the 21 views recommended by the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology mid-trimester practice guidelines for fetal imaging. ‘This is the second machine in the Voluson portfolio to incorporate the ScanNav AI software as an option add-on,’ the company adds.

Intelligent Ultrasound Chief Technology Officer Nicholas Sleep comments: ‘We are delighted to see our software incorporated into the Voluson Expert 22, one of the best obstetrics ultrasound machines in the women’s healthcare market. It’s a great example of how GE Healthcare leads the world in medical imaging.’
