Aurrigo International PLC on Tuesday said that it has signed a deal with Changi Airport Group Pte Ltd for the joint development and testing of its autonomous vehicles and airport simulation software platform in Singapore.

The partnership concerns the Coventry, England-based transport technology provider’s Auto-Dolly and Auto-DollyTug vehicles and Auto-Sim software.

Aurrigo said the multi-year partnership is an opportunity to develop its autonomous solutions at Changi Airport in Singapore, and to showcase the technology to other airports and stakeholders.

The development and testing of Aurrigo’s autonomous vehicles is partially funded by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore through its Aviation Development Fund. The ADF supports initiatives to improve productivity in the Singapore aviation sector through innovation.

‘We have worked closely with the team at Changi for several years and this partnership cements our collaboration to bring the best automated solutions to airlines and airports, enabling them to improve efficiency, safety and sustainability,’ said Chief Executive Officer David Keene.

Aurrigo shares were trading 10% higher at 127.00 pence each in London on Tuesday afternoon.
