Harvest Minerals said on Monday that its multi-nutrient KP Fertil had been approved as a mineral fertilizer by Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock & Food Supply.

Shares were up 13% at 12.40 pence on Monday morning in London.

The London-based fertiliser producer said the certification adds to the product’s current certification of soil remineralizer in Brazil.

Chair Brian McMaster said: ‘Being recognised as a fertilizer by MAPA is the highest level of certification that KP Fertil needs to achieve and is indisputable recognition of the quality of our product.’
