Computacenter PLC on Tuesday said its auditor, KPMG LLP, has requested additional time to complete its audit, but its financial guidance remains unchanged.

The Hatfield, Hertfordshire-based computer services firm said its results will now be announced on March 31, instead of March 20.

It explained that KPMG has requested additional time to complete its standard audit procedures in relation to one of Computacenter’s US subsidiaries.

Computacenter confirmed that its 2022 financial performance is expected to be in line with its January trading update.

In January, the company said it expects full-year results to slightly ahead of its guidance.

Total revenue, on a gross invoiced income basis, grew by more than 30%, including the effects of acquisitions made in the middle of 2022, and by over 27% in constant currency. Further, adjusted pretax profit in the first half of the year against the first half of 2021 was down by 6%; however over the year as a whole, pretax profit grew.

In 2021, Computacenter brought in £248.0 million of pretax profit on £6.73 billion in revenue.

Back in September, Computacenter said pretax profit in the six months to June 30 fell 6.4% to £107.8 million from £115.2 million a year ago. Revenue, however, grew 17% to £2.83 billion from £2.43 billion.

The company added that, ‘for the avoidance of doubt’, it has no exposure to Silicon Valley Bank.

Shares in Computacenter were down 1.7% to 2,078.00 pence each in London on Tuesday morning.
