Artemis Resources Ltd confirmed on Tuesday its ultrafine soil sampling programme had identified gold at its Titan prospect as well as copper at the Carlow mineral resource.

The Perth-based based mining company, with gold, copper and cobalt projects in Australia, said that elevated gold in soils with results of up to 101.3 parts per billion were defined at Titan.

Artemis also said elevated anomalous copper in the order of 100 parts per million was recorded along the north-western margin of the Europa target, near the Carlow deposit.

Following these results, Artemis said mapping and rock sampling is due to commence at Titan in April, and plans to further assess the potential for mineralisation.

The company added that it will announce exploration plans in the greater Carlow area in the next few weeks.

Shares were up 6.6% at 0.75 pence in London on Tuesday morning.
