Totally PLC - Derby, England-based healthcare services provider in UK and Ireland - Warns annual general meeting of a ‘challenging operating environment’, saying that decisions on awarding new contracts are on hold amid a ‘crisis’ in the UK National Health Service. At the same time, the cost of agency staff to deliver services for patients has exceeded Totally’s forecasts.

Chair Bob Holt says: ‘We are actively implementing strategies to streamline our operations and to align them with a smaller overhead base which more readily reflects the current contract requirement.’

He adds: ‘The board remains confident in the medium to long term prospects of the business and will ensure that future contract opportunities continue to be pursued and all contracts are managed effectively to support the achievement of Totally’s goals.’
