Anglesey Mining PLC - Base metals miner with operations in North Wales, Sweden and Canada - Hails results from metallurgical testwork on the White Rock and Engine zones at its Parys Mountain project on the Isle of Anglesey. Results include 0.7 grammes of gold per tonne and 49 grams of silver. Company also finds 3.60% zinc, 3.08% lead and 0.42% copper. Preliminary results demonstrate ‘higher recoveries than those achieved in historical testing’. Company expects results from other testwork over the next two to three weeks.

Chief Executive Jo Battershill says: ‘The results show that the overall metal recoveries appear to be better than expected, particularly for both copper and gold...We will now look to investigate the relevant capital and operating costs for each option to determine which is the most optimal route to move forward with in the planned pre-feasibility study.’
