Origin Enterprises PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed Colm Purcell as its new chief fianancial officer, who will officially join the firm on July 15.

Origin Enterprises is a Dublin-based agronomy services firm.

Colm is currently CFO of the Glanbia Nutritionals division of Glanbia PLC. Prior to Glanbia, Colm was an audit Director with KPMG and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 2001.

TJ Kelly is Origin’s current CFO. The firm has not made any announcements regarding his departure.

Chair Gary Britton said: ‘Following a thorough recruitment process, we are delighted to welcome an executive of Colm’s calibre and expertise to Origin as we prepare for our next phase of growth. Colm brings a wealth of sector experience to the Group, including the global agriculture and food production sector. He has a proven track record in financial leadership, commercial and operational challenge and strategy implementation.’

Shares in Origin up 1.0% at €3.13 each in London on Tuesday morning.
