Mat Masters, CEO - Caledonia Investments
Mat joined Caledonia in 2006 with a broad role across the investment portfolio. He became Head of the Capital portfolio in 2010, before taking on increased responsibility for the Income strategy in 2019 when he was promoted to Head of Quoted Equity. Appointed as Chief Executive Officer designate on 1 April 2022, he succeeded Will Wyatt in July 2022. Mat specialised in corporate finance before joining Caledonia, helping small and mid-sized companies access private equity finance. He has served on numerous private and public company boards. A qualified accountant, he brings to the board investment expertise, senior management, international business experience and leadership skills to enable him to execute the board’s strategy.
James Henderson, Joint Portfolio Manager - Law Debenture
James is an employee of Janus Henderson Investors. He first became involved in the management of Law Debenture’s portfolio in 1994 and has been an investment trust portfolio manager since 1990, managing Lowland Investment Company plc since then. He is very much a value driven fund manager and seeks out opportunities among large, medium and small companies where he believes that stocks are trading more cheaply than they should, based on management’s performance and the prospects for the company.
Bradley Biggins , Portfolio Manager - Schroder Real Estate Investment Trust
Bradley joined Schroders in 2014 and is Fund Manager for Schroder Real Estate Investment Trust Limited. He has 13 years of experience in financial services and was previously in the Schroders Group M&A team where he sourced and executed a number of acquisitions, disposals and strategic projects on behalf of Schroders plc. Prior to joining Schroders Bradley was in the finance team at Barclays and prior to that he trained and qualified as a chartered accountant at Moore Stephens. Bradley holds a BSc (Hons) Mathematics from the University of Bath, is a CFA Charterholder, a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a FCA Certificated Person.
Tom Selby, Director of Public Policy - AJ Bell
Tom leads AJ Bell’s public policy work, including most recently campaigning for simplification of ISAs and stability in the pensions tax system. He has regular columns answering reader questions on retirement issues in The Times and The i, and his views are regularly sought by national and broadcast media. He was previously a journalist at a financial services publication for advisers and has a degree in Economics from Newcastle University.
Tom Danaher, Client Relationship Director - Baillie Gifford Monthly Income Fund
Tom is a client relationship director in the Clients Department, with responsibility for Investment Solutions. He joined Baillie Gifford in 2022 as an investment specialist. Before joining the firm, Tom was an Investment Director at Evelyn Partners in London, where he spent seven years managing multi-asset portfolios on behalf of private clients, trusts and charities. Tom graduated with first class honours in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from the University of Manchester and is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI.
Nick Brind, Fund Manager - Polar Capital Global Financials Trust
Nick joined Polar Capital following the acquisition of HIM Capital in September 2010, and is co-manager of Polar Capital Global Financial Trust and lead manager of the Polar Capital Financial Credit Fund. He has investment experience across a wide range of asset classes but since 2003 has focused on global financials.

Lisa is part of our Technical Team, responsible for providing regulatory and technical analysis to the business and outside world. She is also a regular speaker at adviser events.
Matt Ridley, Partner of Schroders Greencoat - Greencoat UK Wind
Matt joined Schroders Greencoat in 2021 and, along with Stephen Lilley, manages Greencoat UK Wind PLC. Matt has 22 years of investment management experience, including 16 years focused on UK wind projects. Prior to joining Schroders Greencoat, Matt was Co-Head of Investment Management at Temporis Capital, where he played a key role raising capital and investing in a broad range of UK renewable energy projects. Matt holds a BSc (Hons.) in Mathematics from the University of Exeter.

James is the Senior Fund Manager responsible for the Trojan Global Income Strategy. He has 28 years’ investment experience, and has managed global equity portfolios since 2002. James is manager of the Trojan Global Income Fund, co-manager of the Trojan Ethical Global Income Fund and was awarded management of STS Global Income & Growth Trust plc in November 2020. Joining Troy in 2016 to establish the Trojan Global Income Fund, James was previously a Fund Manager at Newton Investment Management where he established and managed the Newton Global Income Fund. He was also the alternate manager on the Newton Real Return Fund. Under James’s management, the Newton Global Income fund grew to c. £4.5bn in AUM and was first in its sector over 10 years. James graduated from Bristol University with a BSc in Politics, before completing his Masters in Finance at the London Business School. He holds the ASIP qualification and is an Associate Member of the CFA Society of the UK.
