Bodycote PLC on Monday said Dominique Yates has decided to retire from the company after five years as chief financial officer.

The Macclesfield, England-based pressing and coatings specialist stated Yates advised the board of his intention to step down once a replacement has been appointed. He will also stay until an ‘orderly’ handover of his duties has been completed.

Dominique Yates was appointed in November 2016 and has been on the board of Bodycote for over five years.

Before joining the company he worked as chief financial officer at Regius, General Electric Co subsidiary LM Wind Power, and Symrise AG.

Bodycote stated that Yates is stepping down to pursue non-executive opportunities.

‘I would like to thank Dominique for his contribution to Bodycote. I look forward to us continuing to work together towards a seamless transition to his successor,’ Chief Executive Stephen Harris said.

Shares were up 0.1% at 771.50 pence each on Monday morning in London.
