BATM Advanced Communications Ltd said on Monday subsidiary Telco Systems has partnered with London-based hardware and software company Advantech to provide BATM’s Edgility operating system.

The Israel-based technology company said that Telco Systems will pre-install the Edgility virtual networking and edge compute operating system on a variety of Advantech’s network appliances.

Edgility is BATM’s operating system for the creation of virtual networks and edge computing.

BATM did not disclose the financial details of the partnership but said the partnership provides a ‘competitive advantage’ for the company by targeting Advantech’s customer base.

Chief Executive Zvi Marom said: ‘We are delighted to be partnering with Advantech to provide our Edgility solution pre-installed on their network appliances, which will enable easier and faster adoption by customers. It reflects the strength of our offering in the rapidly growing Edge Computing market, which will enable Advantech to differentiate their products.

‘With annual revenue of over $1.7 billion and selling globally from offices in over 20 countries, Advantech is a strong partner, and this collaboration enhances our competitive position and offers a further route-to-market. This is also a further example of our growth strategy across our business to accelerate the adoption of our solutions via collaborations with established partners.’

Shares BATM were up 2.5% at 47.65 pence on Monday morning in London.
