Mobile commerce company Bango PLC on Wednesday said it signed a deal with computer security company McAfee Corp to help the company expand its global user base.

Under the agreement, McAfee will use Cambridge-based Bango’s e-distribution technology to expand its user base through partnerships with service providers who will then bundle and resell McAfee subscriptions.

This, Bango explains, will help eliminate sales complexity as its technology removes the complexity of launching across multiple channels and markets.

Bango’s e-distribution capability also enables resellers to order and deliver digital licenses according to demand, it adds.

Bango shares were up 0.3% at 182.11 pence each on Wednesday afternoon in London.
