Europa Metals Ltd on Wednesday announced further assay results from recently completed diamond drilling at its 100% Toral lead, zinc & silver project.

The Europe-focused exploration company said that Hole TOD-042 at the project intersected the highest grade mineralisation reported by the firm ‘to date’ at Toral, and over a ‘significant’ width.

The TOD-042 hole intersected 5.25 metres at 23.24% zinc equivalent, incorporating lead and silver.

Europa Metals said that, in conjunction with hole TOD-041, which was previously reported, this provides the firm confidence in its current resource model and the continuity of the high grade nature of the deposit at depth.

‘We targeted this area of the deposit in order to increase our confidence in a potential extension to the indicated resource and also from the concept that it could be a higher grade ’channel‘ within the resource. Both concepts have been proven which is an excellent result for the team and Toral’s future,’ said Chair & acting Chief Executive Myles Campion.

Shares in Europa Metals were down 2.4% at 3.03 pence in London on Wednesday morning, while in Johannesburg shares were untraded.
