Morgan Advanced Materials PLC on Tuesday said it is dealing with a cyber security incident, after unauthorised activity was detected on its network.

The Windsor, England-based specialist industrial product manufacturer said it launched an investigation immediately after becoming aware of the incident, engaging its specialist support services and implementing an incident response plan.

Morgan said it had taken measures within its IT infrastructure to ensure that the incident was contained, and that ‘actions are being taken to remediate and restore systems’.

‘Morgan will continue to assess the potential impact of the incident and is taking steps to ensure that its businesses can continue to trade with its customers and suppliers,’ the company said.

The company said an update will be provided when appropriate.

Shares in Morgan were down 0.8% trading at 314.50 pence per share on Tuesday morning in London.
