DWF Group PLC on Tuesday said it has been reappointed to RSA Insurance Group Ltd’s defence legal panel, covering the insurer’s motor, casualty, property and complex claims.

The Manchester, England-based legal business noted that it is one of just three firms to be appointed to this panel, reduced from the previous six-firm panel.

It also said that it has extended the range of services it can provide through the panel, adding work in Northern Ireland to ‘an already comprehensive set of services delivered.’

The panel reappointment was effective from Monday.

DWF added that this reappointment follows a number of panel appointments secured in financial year 2023, including Aviva PLC, QBE Insurance Group Ltd, Hiscox Ltd and CNA Hardy International Services Ltd.

Chief Executive Nigel Knowles said: ‘This is another great appointment for our colleagues in insurance and follows quickly on the heels of our reappointment to Aviva’s core legal panel. It also provides further evidence of the shifting dynamics in the legal services market for clients to work with fewer providers, something we have been signalling for some time.’

Shares in DWF were down 0.2% at 74.95 pence each in London on Tuesday morning.
