Galliford Try Holdings PLC on Wednesday said its building business has been appointed to a £75 million contract to deliver a new build-to-rent residential building in north London.

The Uxbridge, England-based construction company said it was appointed by Related Argent Ltd and Invesco Real Estate Ltd, the latter acting on behalf of a US separate account client, to deliver the BTR home.

This is part of the wider 180-acre Brent Cross Town regeneration scheme, which is being delivered in partnership by Barnet Council and Related Argent, which will create 249 new homes for private rent and amenity areas across three new blocks.

‘The private rental and wider residential sectors are an integral part of our sustainable growth strategy, particularly when we have the opportunity to work with respected repeat clients like Related Argent and Invesco Real Estate,’ said Galliford Try Chief Executive Officer Bill Hocking.

‘We look forward to continuing our collaboration with them and all the stakeholders involved to produce more high-quality homes for the local community.’

On Thursday last week, Galliford Try was also reappointed by the Southern Construction Framework to the £4.5 billion SCF Construct Framework.

It was appointed to three regional lots of the four-year framework, which provides a procurement route for construction services to local authorities and public sector bodies across the south of England.

In mid-March, it was also appointed to a £2.5 billion constructor services framework by the UK Ministry of Justice.

The business was awarded places on ’lot 4 - London and East England’ on framework A, ’lots 6 - South and 8 - London and East England’ on framework B, and lot 9 - National’ on framework C.

Shares in Galliford Try were up 0.4% to 173.08 pence each in London on Wednesday, shortly after midday.
