WPP PLC on Tuesday said it has acquired a 30% stake in Atlanta-based diversity-focused creative agency Majority.

The London-based advertising and corporate communications firm said the strategic partnership will ‘create a compelling and differentiated offer to the current and prospective clients of both companies.

Majority specialises in ’disruptive creativity‘ across advertising, strategic planning, branded entertainment and design services. Its key clients include The Coca-Cola Co, the NBA G League and Match Group.

WPP did not provide further financial details regarding the acquisition.

WPP Chief Executive Officer Mark Read said: ’We have been really impressed by the vision, market positioning and trajectory of Majority since its launch in 2021 and we are delighted to become strategic partners in the agency.‘

Shares in WPP were down 0.3% at 860.80 pence each in London on Tuesday afternoon.
