Appointment of Non-Executive Director
The Board of Baronsmead Venture Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Michael Probin as an independent Non-Executive Director of the Company and a member of the Audit Committee, Management Engagement & Remuneration Committee and Nomination Committee, with effect from 14 June 2021.
Mr Probin has over 30 years' experience in executive roles within the tax efficient investment industry. He worked on Business Expansion Scheme products at AXA Sun Life Group from 1989 to 1999 and subsequently was the Director for VCT Investor Relations for Livingbridge LLP, where he gained an extensive knowledge of the VCT industry.
Peter Lawrence, Chairman of the Company, commented on the appointment:
"I am delighted that Michael has agreed to join us and welcome him to an already talented board. His extensive knowledge and long association with VCTs will be of great benefit to us. I am confident that his contribution will be of substantial value as we grow and steer our successful VCT with optimism, through the uncertain times ahead."
There are no further items requiring disclosure under Listing Rule 9.6.13 regarding Mr Probin's appointment.
