Declaration of First Interim Dividend
The Directors of the Company have today declared a first interim dividend in respect of the year ending 31 December 2022 of 2.3p per Ordinary share of No Par Value (first interim for 2021: 2.25p). The first interim dividend will be payable on 23 May 2022 to Ordinary shareholders on the register on 22 April 2022, ex-dividend date 21 April 2022.
The Board is very aware of the importance of dividends to shareholders and is pleased to reiterate that the Company is targeting a total dividend of at least 9.75p per Ordinary share for the years ending 31 December 2022 and 2023.
The level of the remaining three dividends for 2022 will be considered at each quarter end, at which point an announcement will be made by the Company. There are healthy revenue reserves built up over the past decade that the Board will consider using as appropriate. Any decision as to whether revenue reserves will be utilised (and by how much) will be taken at the time of the declaration of the fourth interim dividend in January 2023.
The Company operates a Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP) which is managed by the registrar, Link Group, and the deadline for elections under the DRIP will be 29 April 2022.
