ASA International Group plc - Appointment of Non-Executive Director

ASA International Group plc (LSE: ASAI), one of the world's largest international microfinance institutions, today announces the appointment of Mr Mark Schwartz as a Non-Executive Director.

Catalyst Microfinance Investors (CMI) and Catalyst Continuity, entities controlled by Dirk Brouwer, have exercised their right under the existing Relationship Agreement between CMI, Catalyst Continuity and ASA International to appoint Mark Schwartz as a Non-Executive Director.

The Directors are delighted to welcome Mark to the Board of ASA International and upon appointment, Mark became a member of the Nomination Committee of the Board.

Mark Schwartz is an accomplished business leader and board member with extensive experience across finance, healthcare, and consumer products. He currently co-manages KSHFO LLC, a multi-family office focused on diversified investments. Previously, Mark served as President and CEO of Specialty Merchandise Corporation for two decades. Earlier in his career, he worked in Goldman Sachs' Equity Division, advising high-net-worth clients and institutions. Mark has also held prominent board roles, including Board Chair at Direct Relief, where he helped the organization become one of the largest U.S. nonprofits and remains the Chair of the Nominations and Governance Committee. He also served on the boards of BioIQ and Ovation Medical, and has advised innovative companies such as ParentSquare in his capacity as a Board Observer. Accordingly, Mark brings to ASA International and the Board extensive commercial, philanthropic and management experience.

This announcement is made pursuant to Listing Rule 6.4.6R. In accordance with LR 6.4.8R, the Company confirms that there is no information to be disclosed in terms of LR 6.4.8R (1) to LR 6.4.8R (6) inclusive in respect to Mark Schwartz.
