NAHL Group PLC on Thursday said it has promoted Acting Chief Financial Officer Chris Higham to the permanent position.

Higham has been with the Northamptonshire, England-based consumer legal services provider since 2006 and has held a variety of finance roles.

In August 2021, he was appointed as acting CFO, having previously been a finance director.

Higham is also currently a director of Homeward Legal Ltd, a group company of NAHL.

Further, NAHL said that Gillian Kent has decided to step down as a non-executive director, on September 30.

Kent, it was announced on Thursday, has been appointed to the THG PLC board as a non-executive director.

The company said it has three independent non-executive directors remaining. It does not intend on appointing a new one, as ‘the current board composition provides the skills and experience necessary to meet the group’s needs, given its size and nature.’

Chair Tim Aspinall said: ‘Chris’ experience across the group over the past 16 years has proved invaluable since he took up the CFO role and we look forward to working with him in a board capacity as he and James continue to deliver on the group’s strategy.’

‘I would also like, on behalf of the board, to thank Gillian for her invaluable contribution over the past eight years,’ Aspinall added.

Shares in NAHL were down 0.3% to 36.00 pence each in London on Thursday midday.
