Foxtons PLC, down 4.2% at 29.45p, 12-month range 27.05p-49.9p. The estate agent nears a 12-month low. Earlier on Monday came news that demand for new homes from first-time buyers in the UK has dropped by a third since the former chancellor announced his mini-budget. This is according to measurements from property company Zoopla. The number of homes for sales is currently 13% lower than the average over the last five years. Also on Monday, the Bank of England says mortgage approvals in the UK fell to 66,789 in September from 74,400 in August.

Gore Street Energy Storage Fund PLC, down 1.6% at 112.03p, 12-month range 101p-123.8p. The energy storage fund edges lower as it announces it has agreed to acquire a 200-megawatt construction-ready energy storage project in Heysham, North West England. It will purchase the project from Kona Energy, and says the project has all land rights, grid connection and planning consent. It expects the project to deliver an internal rate of return ‘at least in line’ with the fund’s target rate.
