Impact Healthcare REIT PLC - London-based real estate investment trust with a portfolio of UK healthcare real estate assets, namely care homes - Says Chair Rupert Barclay will step down from the board at the end of the first quarter of 2023, and to resign as a director on the same date. Says Barclay has been with the company since its initial public offering in March in 2017.

Hires Simon Laffin as chair designate, who will join the board on January 1. He will take up the chair role when Barclay steps down. Laffin has over 30 years of experience across sectors including real estate. Previously, he was the chair of British-based property business Assura PLC, British airline Flybe Group PLC and hoses & garden equipment supplier Hozelock Group Ltd.

Barclay says: ‘I am delighted to welcome Simon to the board. He brings extensive property sector and chair experience that will further strengthen the board and be hugely valuable to the company. It has been a privilege to serve as chair since IPO, working closely with my colleagues on the board and the investment management team. I am proud of what has been achieved so far, and the company is very well positioned for the future.’

Current stock price: 105.05 pence, up 0.4% on Wednesday in London
