Origin Enterprises PLC on Thursday said it will promote Helen Kirkpatrick to senior independent director to replace Gary Britton after the company’s annual general meeting in November.

The Dublin-based agronomy services company provides specialist advice, inputs and digital solutions to promote sustainable land use.

Kirkpatrick will replace Gary Britton after his promotion to chair at Origin’s AGM in November.

In June, Origin said that Britton will succeed Rose Hynes, who decided not to seek re-election. Britton joined the board in 2015.

Origin also appointed Alan Ralph as a new independent non-executive director, joining on Monday next week. Ralph spent 20 years with Dublin-based UDG Healthcare PLC, where for five years he was chief financial officer.

UDG was acquired by private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice LLC back in August 2021 and delisted from London.

He is currently a non-executive director of DCC PLC, an Ireland-based sales, marketing and support services firm.

Origin shares were untraded at €3.60 each in London on Thursday morning.
