Jim Durkin

Jim joined the Group as head of the corporate broking team in March 2005. He has over 20 years’ experience in the UK securities industry. Prior to joining the Group, Jim worked at Collins Stewart. He has worked extensively on the origination and execution of corporate finance transactions across a range of industries including insurance, property, financials and utilities. Jim was appointed CEO in December 2011.
Mike Boydell

Mike is Managing Director of AJ Bell Media and has overall responsibility for the business, covering print, online, events and third party solutions. He was previously founding MD of ADVFN plc, which was floated on the London Stock Exchange in 2000. He has hosted and presented at hundreds of investment-focused events and has appeared on BBC Radio and TV, ITV, Sky, CNBC, Bloomberg, Al Jazeera and was a regular commentator on LBC radio.

Stuart Gall

Stuart was a joint founder and executive director of Fusion IP plc, the AIM listed university IP commercialisation company, before its purchase by IP Group plc in 2014. Stuart has over 25 years' experience in both small company start-ups and public companies and previously worked at British Airways plc, The Promotions Partnership Limited, Anvil Limited and Toad plc (now 21st Century Technology plc). Stuart is currently Chief Executive Officer of AIM listed MedaPhor Group plc.

René Gawron

Within the Management Board, he is in charge of finance, mergers and acquisitions, human resources and investor relations, as well as administration and accounting. Before joining SQS, he held various positions at Siemens AG between 1985 and 2000. In addition, he was member of the management board of a software company as well as an electronics company.

Hugh Cox

Hugh has authored and spoken extensively on the subject of data analysis with particular focus on fraud prevention and detection. Prior to establishing Rosslyn Data Technologies, Hugh held senior positions with COO Investments and Citigroup Private Bank. After leaving the British Army, Hugh took a BSc in Computer Science and an MBA from City University Business School.

Elizabeth Gooch pioneered the introduction of production management methodologies into the service sector and used these techniques as the basis for achieving improvements in customer service and guaranteed cost reduction for clients.

As a recognised leading British IT entrepreneur, she designed and launched the eg operational intelligence(r) software suite to deliver sustainable benefits.

eg solutions pioneered the back office optimisation market, now worth approximately $3bn and eg's software is now recognised as the most complete purpose built back office optimisation suite in the world.

Andrew Howell

Andrew Howell, CEO - KBC Advanced Technologies (KBC)

Andrew was appointed Chief Executive Officer on 1 January 2015. He previously held the role of Managing Director of Technology, managing the Technology side of KBC's business, including software development, customer support and strategy development. Prior to joining KBC, Andy worked for Schlumberger, holding senior management positions related to oil and gas development and production, and for Aspen Technology (Hyprotech) where he managed technology development for the oil and gas industry. He started his process engineering career with BP Exploration and has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge. Andrew is a member of the Executive Committee and was first appointed as a Director of KBC in April 2014. 

Charlie Peppiatt

Charlie Peppiatt, CEO - Stadium Group (SDM)

Charlie Peppiatt joined Stadium as Group Operations Director in October 2011 from Laird Plc, a FTSE 250 global electronics company. He was appointed CEO in June 2013. Charlie was formerly Vice President of Global Operations for Laird Technologies with responsibility for a USD$400m division with 6,000 staff covering eleven sites. During eighteen years with Laird, he held senior roles in the USA, Canada, Europe, India and Asia. He has a proven track record for leading significant business turnaround and performance improvement.

Dr. Mark Payton

Dr. Mark Payton, CEO - Mercia Asset Management (MERC)

Mark is CEO of Mercia Technologies PLC, having led the flotation in December 2014 and before that the management buyout of its precursor Mercia Fund Management in 2010. Latterly he led the acquisition in 2016 of Enterprise Ventures. Mark chairs the executive committee and the boards of Mercia’s wholly owned fund management businesses (Mercia Fund Management, Enterprise Ventures and EV Business Loans). In addition he sits on the board of portfolio company Oxford Genetics and has portfolio responsibility for PsiOxus Therapeutics.

 

Neil Garner

Neil founded Proxama in 2005 (then called Glue4 Technologies). The business focused on creating services that link people and brands using consumer technologies. In 2008, the company was rebranded as Proxama with a focus on the applications of mobile, smartcard and NFC technologies. Neil passionately believes in using emerging technologies to create valuable services for people.

Prior to founding Proxama, Neil ran a division of a niche consultancy, Consult Hyperion, where he led the systems implementation teams for a number of ground breaking products including Vodafone’s m-Pesa, MasterCard’s PayPass, Sky and Barclaycard’s SkyCard and American Express Blue card.

Julian Smith

Julian Smith, CFO - Abzena (ABZA)

Julian is a Chartered Accountant with 18 years senior experience in listed and privately held technology companies. 

He joined the Abzena Group in 2013 as CFO to assist the privately funded acquisition of Antitope; taking the Company public in July 2014 raising £20m; and a secondary placing in 2015 of £20m to support the acquisitions of two US bio technology service providers, Pacific GMP and TCRS.

Prior to this he spent over seven year as a CFO of Imperial Innovations plc guiding it through its IPO, two secondary placings raising £196m, and arranging a £30m loan with the EIB. 

Julian has an MA in Engineering Science from Magdalen College, University of Oxford.

Richard Penny

Mark Robinson

Bruno Jactel

Dr. Jactel was appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in January 2013. He spent 12 years at Merial Limited, the Animal Health subsidiary of the Sanofi Group as combined Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. Before Merial, Dr. Jactel was Deputy Minister for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the French Embassy in Washington D.C. Prior to that, he was Assistant Professor at National Veterinary School of Alfort, Paris. Dr. Jactel is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and has a Masters in Economic Sciences from the Sorbonne University in Paris.

Inbal Lavi

Mrs. Lavi is a result-driven leader with 10 years' experience in the online gaming industry.

Mrs. Lavi has diverse background and expertise in marketing strategy, operations and P&L management, including heading the 888poker business from Dec 2011 to Jan 2014. She currently heads XLMedia’s Israeli subsidiary.

Mrs. Lavi holds a B.Sc. (with honors) and an M.Sc. (with honors) in Industrial Engineering from Tel-Aviv University, Israel.

Mike Dee

In 1987, Mike was part of the BT team involved in setting up Manx Telecom and as former Finance Director and Company Secretary was instrumental in the Company’s subsequent ownership changes. Before joining British Telecom plc in 1983, Mike held positions with the Dowty Group, Iloman Engineering and Castle Industries.

Michael Hunt

Between 2005 and 2014 he served as its CEO, leading the business through its early development to its current position as one of the global leaders in regenerative medicine. Prior to ReNeuron, Michael spent six years at Biocompatibles International plc (sold to BTG plc) where he held a number of senior financial and general management positions. His early industrial career was spent at Bunzl plc. He qualified as a chartered accountant at Ernst & Young.

Stephen Harvey

He left Microsoft and became CFO of Acision, the world’s leading messaging company following its spin out from Logica Plc.  Stephen has spent the past three years prior to joining blur working as a CFO internationally in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Richard Kellett-Clarke
