Chapel Down Group PLC - AQSE-listed Kent, England-based wine maker - Says favourable growing conditions sees delivery of ‘both an exceptional grape quality and yield’. Delivers record tonnage of its key sparkling wine grapes, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, as part of a total harvest of over 2,000 tonnes. ‘This year’s harvest is expected to enable the production of approximately 2 million bottles of high-quality sparkling and still wines,’ it adds. Also looks to expand its capacity, to capitalise on the growing English Sparkling wine market, which grew by 29% in 2021.

Hercules Site Services PLC - Cirencester, England-based labour supply company for the infrastructure sector - Expects financial 2022, ended September 30, results to be in line with market expectations. Sees revenue over £45 million, which is up 38% from £32.7 million. ‘All income streams grew, each with their own individual drivers, underpinned by the substantial demand in the infrastructure sector,’ it says. Chief Executive Brusk Korkmaz says period has been ‘fantastic year of growth and positive change’.

OptiBiotix Health PLC - York-based probiotics developer tackling cardiovascular diseases and lifestyle conditions - Plans to get in touch with health regulators in Australia after getting results from review into SlimBiome. Says a systematic review of the scientific literature for prebiotic weight management product shows its has ‘feelings of fullness and helps you stay fuller for longer’. Subsidiary Chief Executive Rene Kamminga says: ‘This important step forward enables our customers in Australia to notify FSANZ through a simple process and make health claims that are meaningful to their consumers that clearly differentiate their products from mainstream competition.’

Woodbois Ltd - London-headquartered African-focused timber producer - Sees record quarterly revenue in third period of $5.8 million, up 29% year on year from $4.5 million. In first nine months of 2022, revenue up 35% to $17.1 million from $12.7 million. ‘Total output from our factories increased again during third quarter, with new records for production set for sawn timber and consistent output of veneer. The total quantity of goods shipped was marginally above the strong previous quarter, making it a record quarter for shipping of own production,’ company says. Notes it has reduced senior management head-count and costs, which it believes will benefit fourth quarter.
