Reach PLC, up 5.1% at 111.04 pence, 12-month range 64.40p-344.22p. The Daily Mirror owner is poised to register a sixth-successive daily gain, with its stock boosted by M&A prospects again. National World PLC, a newspaper industry investor and owner of JPIMedia Publishing, on Thursday said it is in the ‘early stages of exploring a possible offer’ for Reach.

DWF Group PLC, up 3.5% at 71.60p, 12-month range 67.05p-130.81p. The legal and business services firm strikes a deal to acquire Whitelaw Twining Law Corp in a deal worth up to £27.7 million. The buy of the law firm ‘is expected to be earnings enhancing in the first full year of ownership’, DWF says.

Schroder UK Public Private Trust PLC, down 9.0% at 15.28p, 12-month range 15.02p-34.60p. Returns an 8.4% gain from Friday. On Friday, the trust announced a £1.1 million investment in clinical stage oncology company, iOncutura SA. Other investments in the firm’s portfolio include Oxford Nanopore Technologies PLC and Revolut.
