Hostelworld Group PLC, up 4.0% at 76.14 pence, 12-month range 57.00p-119.80p. The hostel-focused online travel agency says its revenue rises 10% to €16.9 million in 2021, from €15.4 million in 2020. Hostelworld’s pretax loss narrows to €36.6 million from €50.5 million. Hostelworld says its ‘recovery picked up as travel restrictions eased and confidence returned’. It notes a ‘temporary Omicron setback’ in the final six weeks of last year, but says it has made a promising start to 2022.

Chesnara PLC, up 3.9% at 308.98 pence, 12-month range 253.63p-319.50p. Reports a higher annual profit and lifts its payout. The Preston, England-based insurance company posts a pretax profit of £28.8 million in 2021, up 17% from £24.6 million in 2020. Funds under management amount to £9.1 billion, up 7.1% from £8.5 billion. Chesnara declares a final dividend of 14.72 pence, up 3.0% from 14.29p. This brings its total dividend for 2021 to 22.60 pence, representing 3.2% growth from 21.9p paid the year prior.

EnQuest PLC, down 4.3% at 29.80p, 12-month range 15.16p-32.20p. The oil and gas company, with operations in the UK North Sea and Malaysia, tracks oil prices lower. A barrel of Brent fetched $106.36 on Thursday morning, down from $113.56 at the London equities close on Wednesday. Oil prices fell on reports that the US is considering tapping its reserves to combat a supply crisis sparked by the Ukraine war.
