Capital Ltd, up 3.7% at 81.95 pence, 12-month range 72.65p-108.00p. The drilling services provider signs a three-year drilling services contract with AngloGold Ashanti for its Geita gold mine in Tanzania. Further, Capital has been awarded a reverse circulation drilling services contract with B2Gold Corp at its Fekola gold mine in Mali.

Funding Circle Holdings PLC, up 1.7% at 59.00p, 12-month range 53.71p-169.80p. The commercial lender signs a new lending partnership with New York-based alternative investment manager Varadero Capital LP. The partnership will provide funding of up to £400 million to small businesses across the UK. Under the 18-month partnership, Varadero will ‘support thousands of small and medium enterprises’ as Funding Circle provides its machine learning models. The funding is built on a previous partnership between the two companies, Funding Circle explains.

Hunting PLC, down 18% at 224.00p, 12-month range 142.80-356.50p. The energy services firm says it expects to return to bottom-line profitability in the full year, but notes that supply chain volatility has heavily impacted operations in the Asia Pacific. Interim earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization are expected in the range of $16 million to $18 million. The previous year, the company reported an Ebitda loss of $3.6 million. Hunting says that its second half performance continued to indicate a strengthening in revenue-run rate. Third and fourth quarter Ebitda run-rate is expected to increase by 20% against the second quarter, it explains. Jefferies analyst Mark Wilson says this implies $40 million Ebitda for 2022, lower compared to consensus of $61 million.
