Shanta Gold Ltd - Guernsey-based east Africa-focused gold producer, developer and explorer - Says drilling results from the West Kenya project in Kenya confirm high-grade nature of this deposit, with ‘visible gold identified across several of the intersections’. It’s now completed 76% of total planned drilling at West Kenya. Says the phase 2 drilling programme is aimed at conversion of the inferred resources to indicated at Isulu-Bushiangala and at Ramula.

Mosman Oil & Gas Ltd - Sydney-based oil and gas company with projects in Australia and the US - Says gross production totals 81,876 barrels of oil equivalent in the year ended on June 30. Net production grows by 66% to 37,915 barrels of oil equivalent from 22,824 the year before. Says pretax loss widens to $2.4 million from $1.4 million a year ago, despite revenue rising to $1.8 million from $816,695. Books an impairment expense of $1.6 million, compared to none the year before. Cost of sales widens to $1,1 million from $491,770.

Power Metal Resources PLC - London-based exploration company, with projects in Africa, Australia and North America - Says drilling intersections have confirmed gold mineralisation over a strike length of 175 metres. Finds 40.63 grams of gold per tonne in CHRC0006 hole at Tati project in Botswana.
