The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Monday.

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

Capricorn Energy PLC, up 3.0% at 176.18 pence, 12-month range 157.33p-215.6p. The Edinburgh-based oil and gas explorer and developer’s shares track the price of oil higher. A barrel of Brent was trading at $88.37 on Monday morning, adding 4.4% over the past week. The commodity has been boosted by the prospect of stronger demand from China and the US, as well as tighter supply from major oil-producing nations such as Saudi Arabia. London Main Market peer Tullow Oil PLC gains 2.4%.

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

Oxford BioMedica PLC, down 1.9% at 318p, 12-month range 276.62p-575p. The Oxfordshire, England-based gene and cell therapy group’s stock is cut to ’hold’ from ’buy’ by investment bank Liberum, with the price target slashed to 350p from 800p. The stock is down 26% over the past month.
